Hi, I'm Anjalyn — and I have a confession. I took my first American mahjong lesson in December 2025 and completely lost my mind over it.

Not just the game itself, but everything about it. The ritual, the satisfying clack of a tiles, the beautiful design, and most importantly: the friendships that form around a table of four.

I was hooked instantly and went looking for somewhere online to keep playing, keep learning, and stay immersed in all the things I loved about it.I couldn't find it... So I built it.

Bird Bam is for every player who has ever fallen down the american mahjong rabbit hole and never wanted to come back up. It's for the beginners fumbling through their first hand, the regulars who play every Tuesday, and the teachers who have spent years keeping this game alive and growing. But if I'm being honest — it's really built for everything that happens around the game. The inside jokes, the groans, the celebrations, the moment someone calls bird bam and everyone yells 'CHEERS!'

That's why we show up. That's what Bird Bam is for.I'm just one person with a small team and a very serious mahjong problem. I read every message and am building this one tile at a time.
