I built Bird Bam because I fell in love with mahjong and couldn't find a way to get better before the next game.
It's here. Bird Bam Mahjong is on the App Store, and the practice table you've been waiting for is open.
If you've ever left game night wishing you could replay one decision (that pass you second-guessed, that hand you held on to too long), this is for you.
Bird Bam Mahjong is the American mahjong practice app for iPhone and iPad. It's built on the current NMJL card, so every rack you practice is one you could actually see at the table.
It isn't a replacement for your weekly game, your teacher or your friends. It's where you get your reps in between.
We built Bird Bam around the questions players asked us most:
Bammie is your coach inside the app: the friend at the club who's played for decades and is genuinely delighted to help you get better. She tells you why, not just what, so the lesson sticks the next time you sit down.
Not yet, but we hear you. Bird Bam Mahjong is on iPhone and iPad first.
Both. Newer players use it to build the instincts that take years to get at the table alone. Experienced players use it to sharpen their game on a new card. And teachers use it to give students something to practice between lessons. (Dear Mahjong Instructor has more on that.)
Every new player starts with 5 days of full access, free. After that, The Social Membership is $12 a month.
To everyone who signed up early: thank you. You believed in this before there was anything to download, and you'll always be a founding member of the Bird Bam social club. We don't take that title lightly.
Thank you to our 100+ testers, players and teachers alike, who told us, honestly, what wasn't working. You made it better.
Pull up a chair. Your practice table is ready.
